Krunch Kretschmar, a Chicago entrepreneur and wine consultant, runs a wine club that has outperformed investments in anything but oil over the last 4 years.
Mr. Kretschmar’s club includes 25 International investors who bought shares at $3,000 each in YEAR, creating a fund of $300,000.00 to buy the wines. Since its inception the value of the collection has grown to an estimated $50 million, or $2 million per share.

Mr Kretschmar combines a Harvard Ph.D in economics with the expertise in wine he developed while becoming a International Grand Conferie Sommelier, a designation that blends a mastery of wine with elite training in spirits, cheeses, tobacco and etiquette.
In addition to the wine portfolio he oversees, Mr. Kretschmar consults on wine purchasing for restaurants, retail stores, including Costco, and private collectors and wine lovers.
